Emulsion Polyacrylamide

Polyacrylamide emulsion is prepared by dispersion or reverse phase emulsion polymerization, and is a form of polyacrylamide liquid. It has the characteristics of solid flocculant, and absorbs the solid particles suspended in water through the polar groups in the molecular chain, so that the bridge or electric neutralization between the particles forms a large flocculant.

Compared with traditional cationic polyacrylamide products, polyacrylamide emulsion is suitable for a wider range of pH values, higher charge stability, better flocculation effect, less dosage and a series of advantages. It is also suitable for construction sites where large dissolving devices are not installed.

Polyacrylamide emulsion is widely used in a variety of domestic sewage, chemical wastewater, oil field sewage, sludge dewatering treatment, paper and other fields, polyacrylamide oil-water emulsion is also widely used in urban domestic sewage treatment, brewery, amylating plant, food processing plant and other sewage treatment. It is especially suitable for flocculation and sedimentation of organic suspended matter in acidic or slightly acidic sewage. Paper industry used as retention aid filter-aid, paper sewage treatment. In petroleum industry, it can be used as emulsion coating agent or oil removal agent for drilling.

Use process

1, before using cationic polyacrylamide emulsion products, should be shaken as much as possible;

2, when the dissolution operation, add the product while adding water, the dissolution concentration is recommended to be controlled at 1-5 ‰, and the curing time is about 15-25 minutes;

3, avoid using high shear rotor pumps such as centrifugal pumps when conveying, it is best to use low shear pumps such as screw pumps and diaphragm pumps;

4, the dissolution operation should be carried out in the tank of plastic, ceramic, stainless steel and other materials, the stirring speed should not be too large, no need to warm.

5, the prepared dilute solution should not last long, it is best to dissolve with use;

6. When polyacrylamide emulsion and inorganic coagulant are used to treat wastewater, inorganic coagulant should be added first, and when obvious alum flowers appear (generally spaced by about 30-60 seconds), this product can not be reversed, nor can it be added at the same time.

Polyacrylamide emulsion storage precautions

1, at room temperature, the storage period in a closed container is generally 6 months, and pay attention to avoid light;

2, the small bucket storage should pay attention to regularly turn, shake, to achieve full mixing, prevent stratification;

3, with a large container storage, to install a multi-leaf stirring can be extended to the bottom of the container, open regularly, or install a circulation pump, regular circulation mixing, to ensure full mixing, to prevent stratification.

4, the best storage temperature is 50-80 °F (10-27 °C), the product can not be frozen, otherwise it will affect its performance.

5, if the product once frozen phenomenon, to move to a higher temperature place, so that it slowly thaw, before use to be fully mixed, and 100 mesh filter.
