What role does anionic polyacrylamide play in oilfield drilling?

Anionic polyacrylamide, an oil recovery agent in oil field, has a very important application in the tertiary oil recovery process of oil production.

At present, it has been fully utilized in China's Daqing Oilfield, Xinjiang Oilfield, Shengli Oilfield, Henan Oilfield and other large-scale oil projects. The annual amount of anionic polyacrylamide used in oil recovery and oil displacement agents reaches hundreds of thousands of tons, and the amount of oil added to the tertiary oil recovery of oil fields reaches more than 50 million tons. The use of anionic polyacrylamide as an oil recovery agent has high cost performance, relatively mature technology, low cost, and low input-output ratio, which is very suitable for various large-scale oilfield projects.

Anionic polyacrylamide flooding mechanism:

1. Anionic polyacrylamide amine has high water solubility and high molecular chain viscosity, which can improve the mobility ratio of displacement fluid, increase displacement efficiency and swept volume, and enhance oil recovery.

2. The anionic polyacrylamide polymer solution improves the viscoelasticity of the oil-water interface, making oil droplets or oil films easy to deform, and can pass through various pores to improve the microscopic oil displacement effect and oil recovery efficiency.

3. Anionic polyacrylamide can reduce the oil-water mobility ratio of the oil layer, change the split flow curve, reduce the water content of oil production, and increase the oil recovery rate.

4. Anionic polyacrylamide APAM improves the viscous fingering phenomenon of water flooding in the heterogeneous horizontal plane, and improves the sweep efficiency in the plane range. In the vertical direction, using the high-viscosity characteristics of anionic polyacrylamide, the subsequent water flooding will enter the low-permeability layer from the high-permeability layer, increase the water absorption thickness, and expand the vertical sweep efficiency.

5. The anionic polyacrylamide molecular chain is hydrophilic. When the APAM polymer passes through the pore medium, it uses its adsorption and mechanical trapping to change the pore permeability, but it has little effect on the oil phase permeability and does not block water. Oil plugging.
