sodium chlorate
Molecular formula: NaClO3
CAS:7775-09-9
EINECS:231-887-4
Water Solubility:1000 g/L (20℃)
Physical properties: usually white or yellowish equiaxed crystals. In the metastable state, it is crystal or orthorhombic crystal, tastes salty and cool, easily soluble in water and slightly soluble in ethanol. It has a strong oxidation effect in acidic solution and decomposes oxygen above 300°C. Sodium chlorate is unstable. It is easy to burn and explode when mixed with phosphorus, sulfur and organic matter, and it is easy to absorb moisture and agglomerate, and is poisonous.
Precautions for storage and transportation: Sodium chlorate is an inorganic oxidizing agent, white to light yellow crystal or powder, it decomposes to release oxygen when heated, and is active in nature.
When encountering more substances, there is a possibility of explosion:
1. Organic matter, such as grease, asphalt, flour, sawdust, coal powder, carbon powder, organic solvent, and other organic matter:
2. Metal powder, magnesium powder, aluminum powder, iron powder, zinc powder, etc.;
3. Concentrated sulfuric acid
4. Reducing substances, such as sulfur, phosphorus, etc. Contact with acids will produce toxic gas. In the process of storage and transportation, it is strictly forbidden to store and transport with the above substances. Handle with care when handling, dragging is strictly prohibited, keep the package intact and clean, and use water to extinguish fire.
Packing: Sodium chlorate is packed in 25 kg, 50 kg and 1000 kg, with a polyethylene bag inside a polypropylene woven bag;
