Use:Is a broad range of bactericidal preservatives, can effectively kill algae, bacteria and fungi. The active single agent can be widely used in industrial cooling water, oil field back tank water, paper industry, pipeline, paint, paint, rubber and cosmetics, photographic film and washing products and other industries. The effective dosage is small, non-toxic and pollution-free, and it is easy to mix in various formulations, and the PH is widely used. After dilution and use concentration, it is easy to be biodegradable into non-toxic and pollution-free substances. Low toxicity, no residual emissions, and a variety of emulsifiers, surfactants and protein ingredients with good compatibility. MIT can effectively kill a variety of bacteria at low concentrations, especially suitable for the preservation of cosmetics and personal care products. Applicable pH range pH2.0-12.0, miscible with water, can be added in any process, easy to operate.
Methylisothiazolinone (MIT) is a chlorine-free preservative, which is used as a preservative for cosmetics in the "Cosmetic Safety and Technical Specification 2015 Edition". It can inhibit the growth of bacteria, fungi and mold, and can effectively kill a variety of bacteria at low concentrations, so it is widely used as a high-efficiency preservative in cosmetics and personal care products. Isothiazolinone is mainly composed of methylchloroisothiazolinone (INCI: Methylchloroisothiazolinone, abbreviated as MCI) and methylisothiazolinone (INCI: Methylisothiazolinone, abbreviated MIT), which are usually mixed with a mass ratio of 3:1 (m(MCI): m (MIT)) and then mixed with a salt solution of magnesium in the form of an aqueous solution for cosmetic preservatives. Suitable for a wide pH range, has a broad-spectrum antibacterial effect, mainly used in shampoos, baths and other wash-off formulas. Its bactericidal mechanism is to react with the sulfhydryl group of the protein, inhibit the transport of active substances and glucose oxidation, and inactivate the bacteria, so the protein in the formula will inactivate it. Due to the frequent feedback from consumers on skin sensitization caused by the use of methylisothiophaninone containing products, the European Union, after reviewing the various investigations and evaluations of SCCNFP, finally banned such substances from retained products, and stipulated that the maximum amount of MIT addition was 0.01%, and MCI/MIT was only allowed for wash-off products, with a maximum addition amount of 0.0015%, and the two could not be shared in the same product.
